How To Make Money Online Without A Website
In traditional affiliate marketing, a website is a necessary tool to communicate with your audience and make product and service offers. As internet marketing evolved, new models and methods emerged to make money online without a website or blog.
Since I’m an old-school marketer, and I still enjoy writing, the website-blog model still works well for me. But if you’re new to affiliate marketing it takes time and expense to get your new website created, found and monetized.

This ancient (in internet terms) method can still work but it creates a long road to affiliate marketing success. It’s simple; all you do is post comments and participate in third-party blog discussions which includes your affiliate link in your signature. The problem is that its not very effective and it takes a lot of time and effort on your part. Plus most website and blog administrators will quickly delete your affiliate links when they spot them. Obviously not the best alternative model.
2. Create A Simple Information Product And Promote It On Third Party Platforms:
With today’s automation tools, creating an ebook is something that anyone can do even with zero experience. Plus its a great way to make money online. The key to making money using this ebook model is to pick a hot topic that people are interested in learning about then creating good content that sells. You can also hire a ghostwriter to write the content for you, or use an already completed PLR product and rebrand it as your own.
You can then embed your market-related affiliate links into the ebook to make even more money. You can sell your ebook on product listing platforms such as eBay, Clickbank and Share-A-Sale.
3. Make A Video Channel On YouTube Or Related Video Sharing Websites:
Making your own videos is simple today using automated video marketing tools. You can make tutorials, instruction videos, lessons or just simple entertainment vids that your market audience would find useful or entertaining. You can then post your affiliate links on those video sharing sites beneath the videos. A simple but effective online business model.
4. Email Marketing & List Building:
The email marketing model delivers the highest return on investment but it does take time to build your list. If you have your own list you can send them value-driven emails to demonstrate your expertise and send them to third party affiliate offers.
5. Promoting Affiliate Offers Directly Through Paid Ads:
Some ad platforms still allow you to post advertisements that send clickers directly to affiliate marketing offers through your affiliate links. I know this sounds like an easy money-making model but the reality is that this model is brutally competitive and demands diligent testing, tracking and tweaking to make it profitable. But if you have the patience to find winning combinations that generate pure net profits, you can make a ton of money using this model.
6. Retargeting Strategy:
Retargeting is a type of online advertising that allows you to show your affiliate offers to people after they leave a specific website. This is a surprisingly effective strategy since the vast majority of people who visit a website for the first time, leave without buying anything. But like the last model we mentioned, it takes time to learn, test, track and tweak this model to make it profitable.
7. Revenue Sharing Social Networks & Platforms:
The revenue sharing content model has been around for a while now. It started with text-based-content sites like HubPages (which I don’t particularly care for) but have since grown beyond just text-based-content sites including: Daily TwoCents, Techulator, Tsu, Bubblews, Red Gage, GetGems, BonzoMend and Persona Paper. Choose your platform carefully because many affiliate marketers complain about frequently changing terms and payment models plagued with late payments and ‘light’ payments. Do your due diligence by reading platform reviews and opinions from actual users.
8. Social Media Channels:
This option needs no introduction. Social media channels offer the most choices and opportunities for affiliate marketers to make money online without a website or blog. Facebook still rules the roost, but platforms like Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, Reddit and Pinterest offer interesting monetization opportunities too. Many of these platforms allow you to place your own affiliate links on your posts, comments, images and profiles. The key to this model is to learn and follow the rules of marketing on each platform (by carefully reading their guidelines & policies) to avoid getting banned from using them. Remember that you do not own your social media accounts; you’re simply a visitor so there are rules to follow. Automated social media marketing tools will help you shorten the learning and earning curve.
9. Write Reviews And Articles On Classifieds Websites:
Classifieds websites allow you to sell virtually anything online – and many people do. The most well known is Craigslist. But there’s also now Backpage, Yakaz, eBay Classifieds, Geebo, and Recycler. One idea is to write short informational snippets and/or reviews for affiliate products and posting them with your affiliate link. But like social media, make sure you learn and follow rules in advance to avoid getting banned from these sites.
Affiliate marketing without a website is not only doable – but very lucrative using any of these tools.
If you prefer to avoid buying or building your own website, these models will give you a nice start. Get creative with it, have some fun and start building passive income online.
